Description

This is the most visited portion of the river due to the riverside casinos in Laughlin along with the large amount of private homes and boat docks on the Arizona side in Bullhead City.  This area is very popular with motorized boaters and jet-skiers, and fishing boats are also common.  Be a safe and responsible boater and respect other users. Along this route are several parks, Bullhead city Community park, Bullhead City Rotary Park and the Turtle Beach Community Park, which provide great places to put-in or take-out.

For a quiet paddling experience, visit the Big Bend State Park, which has a calm lagoon. The final take-out point is at the Avi Resort, near the state line. Camping is also available behind the Avi Resort at Laughlin/Avi KOA Casino Journey.

Trail Tips

Dispose of Waste Properly
Keep the Twin States (Vermont & New Hampshire) green and clean! Pick up trash, even if it's not yours. Leave soon-to-be trash like excess packaging, stickers, and twist ties at home.
