The trails throughout the area are fairly easy with a gradual increase in elevation. This is an important trail system for equestrians and hikers due to the looser, sandy soils. Shade is present but limited in the first mile from each trailhead. Along the entirety of the trail you have stunning views of the Carson Range, Pine Nut Range and Carson Valley.
This trail system is very popular amongst trail runners, equestrians and hikers with dogs. Please keep your dogs leashed from November 15th - March 30th to protect the winter deer population.
The Fay-Luther/ Jobs Peak Ranch Trail crosses through private property. Ensure your pets are leashed and remain on trail. Horse and bikes are not allowed on a 2.5- mile section of the Fay-Luther/Jobs Peak Ranch Trail between the Valley View Loop junction and the Jobs Peak Ranch Trailhead due to private land restrictions and for trail sustainability. Ensure your pets are leashed and remain on trail through private land year-round. Please see the map for more information.
