There are almost 50 historical landmarks that have been marked along the Kit Carson trail, laying out the beautiful and rich history of Carson City. This is a self-guided tour that you can walk, bike or drive. An audio tour as well as paper map are available to be your guide.
In the fall, a guided walking tour of the downtown district’s west side historic homes and businesses. The evenings are a delightfully spooky and enjoyable way to experience Carson City’s Victorian Era and diverse history. Hear about lingering spirits of the long ago centuries, haunted and paranormal stories and gossip from the past.
This trail goes through residential and business areas, please respect the speed limit if you are doing the driving tour.
