Description

The Ophir Creek trail follows along the Ophir creek, connecting Tahoe Meadows to the Davis Creek Regional park. One-way this trail is about 7 miles long, with a 2,000 ft. elevation gain and is very strenuous. There are several creek crossings but only a few of them have bridges, otherwise you will need to cross by walking through the creek.

The best time to use this trail is between summer and fall when the snow has melted. Shade is intermittent throughout the trail.

Although primarily a hiking trail, mountain bikes are allowed. Please be wary of other recreationalists and yield where appropriate.

Other Information

Nearby services and lodging are located in Washoe Valley, Incline Village, Reno, and Carson City.

Trail Tips

Dispose of Waste Properly
Keep the Twin States (Vermont & New Hampshire) green and clean! Pick up trash, even if it's not yours. Leave soon-to-be trash like excess packaging, stickers, and twist ties at home.

Trailhead Information

There are two access points to the Ophir Creek trail, one at Tahoe Meadows South and the other at Davis Creek Regional Park. A parking lot and restrooms is located at each location.
