This 3.2 acre park is located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. The Old Mormon Fort was first established by Mormon missionaries in 1855, next to a spring-fed creek. The park’s Visitor Center has artifacts and exhibits showing the history of the area.
Whether you are looking to learn a bit of history about the origins of settlement in the Las Vegas Valley, visit the Natural History Museum or just have a nice picnic in the shade in nearby Heritage Park, this state historic park is well worth the visit!
The park is only open Tuesday - Saturday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., with last admittance 4 p.m., and is closed Sunday's and Monday's.
