This 22 acre conservation area is one of the last few protected riparian open spaces in the Truckee Meadows. Here you can find an easy to navigate 1 mile trail that is ADA accessible and easy for the whole family to enjoy. Along the trail are several interpretive signs and benches for you to learn from and become immersed in the surrounding nature. There are two trails, one that is ADA friendly and one "Adventure" route that weaves through the trees. Fishing is allowed on the Truckee River in the park so be sure to bring your fishing pole!
Plenty of wildlife and migratory birds call this nature study area home. Keep your eye out for quail, Kingfishers, hummingbirds and red shouldered hawks!
This area would be a great place to visit during the fall to see the changing of the seasons and in the spring to see the wildflowers blooming.
No pets or bicycles are allowed in the park.
The hours vary by season. From June to end of October the park is open from 8 am to sunset. From November to May, the park is open from 8 am to 4 pm.
Picnic benches, bathrooms and water are available at the parking area. There is a small visitors center that you can visit for more information on the area, but the hours vary.
