The Sparks Marina Park surrounds the 77-acre Helms Lake. The park features, picnic areas, restrooms, a concession stand, playground, and paved trail.
The Marina is open for fishing, swimming and boating. Motorized boats with electric motors are allowed. Swimming is allowed only at the designated north beach area, depending on the weather and lifeguard availability. See the Sparks website for information on park schedules and for regulations for launching watercraft.
The paved, accessible Loop Trail is about 2 miles long and provides beautiful views of the lake and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. On the southern part of the trail, there is a gated dog park, where you can let your furry friends run and play.

The park has ample parking, restroom and picnic facilities and a concession stand. Parking is accessed from either Nichols Blvd, or E. Lincoln Way.
