The trail begins in Wadsworth and follows along route 447 and Little Nixon rd. Half of the trail ride is spent on these roads while the other half diverts into the sagebrush. It is considered an easy to moderate trail due to washed out trail conditions and sandy areas. There are some slight elevation changes along the route as well as two fence stiles that must be climbed. Recommended bikes for this segment are mountain bikes, cyclocross bikes and gravel bikes.
